Creating Risks

Creating Risks

Click New Risk at the top of the Risk Manager page to open the Create Risk dialog.

Create Risk

In the dialog, choose:

  • Asset — the primary asset for the risk. At least one asset must exist in Asset Manager before you can create a risk; if none exist, you are prompted toward Asset Manager. A risk is created against exactly one asset; additional assets can be linked afterward from Risk Details.
  • Risk type — one of Design, Test, or Monitor. The type cannot be changed after creation and records where the risk first came from (see Risk Types).

The new risk is created in Triage, and the app opens its Risk Details page immediately so you can continue filling it in. Back on the list, clicking a row opens a preview drawer; use Open details (or right-click → Open risk details) to reach the full page.

After Creation

From Risk Details:

  • Accept the risk to move it from Triage to Open.
  • Archive to set it aside (reversible from any state).
  • Click Edit (top right) to open the Edit risk dialog — change the Heading, Priority, or Status, then Save (or Cancel).
  • Use the Context tab to let the AI curate an understanding of the risk and propose field updates or suggested actions.

For bulk creation from an external source, see Import & Export → Import Risk. The Import Risk dialog accepts the Design risk type only (Test and Monitor are disabled there).
